There is a plethora of venues available for weddings in Toronto from downtown to uptown. These include hotels, restaurants, former movie houses, civic centre rooms, the CN Tower, the University of Toronto, Botanical gardens and so on.
There are also many parks in Toronto. Some require permits for marriage ceremonies so best to check ahead and to reserve where necessary. To do so call the Permit Office at 416-392-8188 or click HERE for more details. Be sure to also clarify the details surrounding any permit and be aware that the price of a permit rises periodically in the City of Toronto.
Please note that the City of Toronto does not issue permits for small parks and it limits formal weddings to a few large event locations. Please also note that couples are unfortunately no longer permitted to marry in High Park outside of one organized venue. Small parks and beach areas may be used discreetly for small private elopements. The Scarborough Bluffs
and Kew Beach are among my favourite locations though there are of course many more.
